Winter RAPR

Yesterday was a good day to ride a bike. Of course as you know, we are having the most unseasonably warm/dry Winter. Another storm is on the way so the temps were up and the trails were dry so we headed out for a big group mountain bike ride.

Anything South facing was bone dry and the North facing slopes had the stickiest most tacky snow I have ever ridden. I actually think you may have been able to put in a faster time on dome of the snowy sections of trail that are very rocky since the snow filled in the gaps to smooth out the trail.

We rode the RAPR (Ride Around Provo River) and my favorite parts were descending Johnson's and Indian off Squaw Peak. Oh and the snow climb up Bridal Veil was crazy how much traction was there.

No video from today as I didn't have enough time to get it set up, but here are a couple pics.

3247 ft ascended during 16.8 miles

Thanks Dan and Jesse for getting me out on the trails.
