Rigid Ride

If money were no object would you set your bike up rigid to save weight?

Or

Run a suspension fork.

I will pick suspension every time.

Something about feeling my teeth chatter while descending is not fun.

1600 ft of climbing and 15 miles of dry single track is a good way to start the weekend.

Did Dan Z. pick up a new ride? Rigid is no fun (IMO). I like suspension

That's a sweet picture. I'm going to steal it. That was a fun ride, though I'm not sure it's coincidence that I crashed harder on that ride than I have all year.

DZ - Check your email. The photo should be there. And I am not sure I have really ever witnessed you crash too many times.

dug - I won't lie, you ride the rigid quickly down hills. I will never forgot following you down Hazard County last year. It was one of the best descents I have experienced following somebody.

my rigid fork with the wtb weirwolf blows the doors off of the last squishy fork i had. i'm probably pretty skewed in my opinion though - that rock shox mag 20 wasn't much to shout about.

Sabrosa - Back in the day that gold rock shox was the real deal. Still have an old one with blown seals in my garage. And the Weirwolf is a great tire choice. I think 80% of my tires are one form of WTB or another. You amigo are another one who can corner on rails on your local trails.

DZ - I know your crash had nothing to do with the rigid fork, but it still was too hard to pass up trying to get into your head after seeing you hit the dirt so hard. Although, the cartwheel was a nice finish to the crash.
