Monday was a beautiful, warm, Winter day. Wait did I say Winter? It sure felt more like a Springtime day.
I spent the day playing around with my kids at the park and around the house with their new toys.
In the later afternoon my oldest boy wanted to go on a ride. He said, "Dad, can we go on a ride on the trail-a-bike?" I said sure, where would you like to go ride? "Dad, I want to ride some dirt!"
So we headed out from the house and into the surrounding foothills we rode. He definitely has grown a little bit since the last time we rode mtb with the trail-a-bike. My rough estimate of my boy's weight is 50-60 lbs. Trail-a-bike is around 30 lbs. So that is around 90 lbs extra to haul around on my Single Speed 32x20.
We had a great ride and my legs sure got a good workout pedaling the SS up the hills. My boy really liked getting up a little higher and looking down into the valley below. He really likes finding trails in the trees and telling me which way to turn as we pedal around. We rode for 9.6 miles and climbed 438 ft.
If I keep this up I will be back into riding shape in no time. I wonder how many watts I generate while pedaling the SS uphill with the trail-a-bike?

That is awesome. I need to get one of those trail-a-bikes.
I just kept watching KSL until I found one. Definitely worth it. All my kids love it.
