Last night I just didn't get my fill of riding. I think the fun serpentine turns and abundant alpine vegetation of Sundance left my mouth watering for more. A quick text to Jesse and an early am ride in Payson Canyon was set.
The dirt on most trails in Payson Canyon (with all the recent rain) was almost perfect. Bennie Creek however is excellent. Sadly enough this was only my second Bennie Creek (my all time favorite trail) run this year.
My Yeti ASR 5C might be the perfect bike for Bennie Creek/Payson Canyon. The dirt was amazing and you could rip into any corner and stick it this morning. Talk about super traction. I wonder if I have ever descended Bennie with so much speed and control than this morning. Yeti sure can build a great machine.
The picture from this morning is from one of my favorite corners on Bennie Creek. The corner is slightly bermed and almost turns a full 180. At times farther into the turn it feels like my elbows could scrape the ground since I am leaning into the turn so much.
Fast! Very, very Fast!
So what are you doing tomorrow morning?

Meeting in round valley at 730 to ride the "you know what" course. My wife is running the aid stations along the route. Your welcome to come. If you decide to, then bring any foods you want to eat and be ready for a long day.
Pat - Sounds fun and thanks for the invitation. I have other non-biking plans that conflict.
Im going to try to get up there to ride it one more time before the race. Ill give you some warning next time.
