Virgin Ride

I picked a good day Monday to have the first ride on my Yeti 575.
For weeks the Yeti has not left the comfort and heat of my home. There was so much snow and it has been so cold only a snowmobile was fit to travel on the roads in my neighborhood. Each day I would see the Yeti and wonder/dream of how the bike would handle.
Last Saturday the snow had finally cleared enough for me to take the Yeti out to the driveway/sidewalk and get the shifters/brakes/seat all positioned properly. On the trail the bike feels good, really good. Of course I need to get some of the suspension dialed in, but I really like the propedal for the rear shock. You could really feel the difference flipping propedal on or off to make the climbing easier or descending more plush. For the little extra bike weight I am riding now, the Yeti climbs really well. The real fun comes when I point the bike downhill. The Yeti stuck to the trail like glue and cornered on rails.
I am happy, very happy. Now I just need to get my legs back. Why do they seem to disappear after not riding for a month or so?
I really can't wait to get the Yeti out for "The Session."
