2010 in Retrospect

2010 was a good year.

Here is the data from my 2010 cycling year.

  • 154,634 calories burned
  • 2434.7 miles
  • 11300 max altitude
  • 58 miles averaged per week
  • 176.2 mile max for one week
  • 235.05 hrs on the bike
  • 156 rides
  • 25 rides in Payson Canyon

2009

  • 147 rides
  • 2484.9 miles

I rode 50.2 miles less this year but I rode my bike 9 times more. Less miles and more rides can only mean one thing, I rode my mountain bikes more than my road bike in 2010.

My biggest accomplishment of 2010 was winning becoming the 1st Night Race World Champion. More good recap of the event can be found here, or here.

Some other good memories and events from 2010 are listed below.

2010 was the first time that I tried to self support myself on the White Rim for a Fast Friday Time Trial.

I had some of my best finishes in the Weekly Race Series finishing 1st once at Sundance and once at Soldier Hollow.

Of the new trails I rode for the first time in 2010 The Colorado Trail was the best.

I only did one long endurance race this year, the PCP2P. Not a "best moment" but it was a first for me in 2010.

Best one day trip is by far The Columbus Day Special. If you didn't come this year you really missed out.

Of course I still think I have some of the best home single track around in Payson Canyon.

And I am not sure how many Lunch Rides there were this year, but I think it was a record year for Lunch Riding. Thanks to all my riding friends for all taking the time to ride/race at lunch.

That's some good stuff.

I MUST do the whole enchilada this year. I've let it slip by for too long.

And I WILL ride Crested Butte and/or Durango this year.

Thanks for the reminder / motivation.
